伝統行事を地域の将来の担い手である子どもたちに引き継いで行くことを目的とし、魚沼市在住の小学生を対象に、「こども弁天委員長」の募集を行います。
※当初小出小学校の児童限定としていましたが、応募が無いため募集範囲を拡大します。
参加を希望する児童に「こども弁天委員長」になって頂き、当日の開会式後に行われる「弁天踊り」にてお立ち台に上がり「弁天音頭」を歌って頂きます。（児童が交互に音頭を歌い、その周りを青年部員を初めとする参加者が囲み踊る形です。）
